Grim Reaper Costumes

How to choose grim reaper costumes

Every grim reaper starts with a dark hooded robe. From there, the choice is about how much detail you want and whether the face is covered by a mask or left to makeup. Most of this collection comes from Fun World.

Pick a reaper style

For a classic look, choose a grim reaper robe from Underwraps or Fun World, or the men's grave reaper costume. For more detail, there are winged reaper, blood rain reaper and rhinestone reaper costumes for adults. A plus size grim reaper costume is available for men. Each product page lists what is included, so check whether a mask or hood piece comes with the robe.

Grim reaper costumes for kids

This collection has more kids styles than adult ones. Boys can choose a reaper robe, a grave reaper, a smoldering reaper, an electro skull reaper, a soulless reaper, a winged reaper, a blood rain reaper or a fade in and out mutant reaper. Girls can choose the Miss Reaper costume. Kids sizes include Medium 6 to 8 and 8 to 10, Large 10 to 12 and 12 to 14, and XL 12 to 14 and 14 to 16, depending on the brand. See boys Halloween costumes for more.

Masks and finishing touches

If your robe does not include a face covering, add a reaper mask. Options include a Ghoulish grim reaper mask, an Angel of Death mask, a reaper horror mask with a black shroud, a skull reaper mask, a latex grim reaper mask from Zagone Studios, and a robot reaper overhead mask from Trick or Treat Studios. A scythe finishes the look, and you will find those in costume weapons and armor. For a temporary tattoo, there is a reaper biker tattoo too.

Fit

Adult robes are loose by design. The Underwraps grim reaper robe is listed in one size fits most and 2X, and other adult styles are listed without size options. Long robes can drag, so compare the length on the size chart with your height. Call 800-618-6053 with sizing questions. If you want a bonier look, see skeleton costumes.
