Harry Potter Costumes

How to choose Harry Potter costumes

Start with a house or a character, then choose the robe version that fits your budget. Most of this collection is costumes, with accessories to finish the look. Each product page lists what is included and shows the size chart for that style.

Most of the range is from Disguise, with more from Rubie's and Charades. Prices start from $27. Kids costumes make up most of the collection, but there are adult, teen and baby options too.

Pick your house

Robes come in Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, plus a general Hogwarts robe. A house robe is the simplest costume here, and it works over a white shirt and dark trousers or a skirt from your closet. Friends and siblings can each pick a different house for a group look. Not sure which house to choose? Go with the house of a favorite character, or let the kids decide.

Classic, deluxe or prestige

Many robes are sold in more than one version. Classic, deluxe and prestige styles are offered for several houses, and the same names appear on Harry Potter character costumes. Each version lists its own pieces and details on the product page, so compare them side by side before you choose.

Character costumes

For a specific character, there are kids Harry Potter costumes in classic, deluxe and prestige versions, including a deluxe Gryffindor style. Hermione and Luna Lovegood also appear in the collection, and a Quidditch kit adds a sporty option. Hermione and Luna are good picks for kids who want a character other than Harry. Look for finishing touches in costume accessories.

Sizes for every age

Kids sizes run from Child S (4 to 6) to Child L (12 to 14), with teen sizes such as Teen (7 to 9) and Teen (14 to 16), adult robes in men's and women's sizing, and a posh infant Harry Potter costume for babies. Toddler sizes are listed on some styles. If you are between sizes, the larger size is usually the safer choice for a robe worn over clothes.
