Kids Costumes

How to choose kids Halloween costumes

Start with your child's age and size, then let them pick the character. Kids costumes are sized by age range, so measure height and chest and compare them with the size chart on the product page. If your child is between sizes, the larger size leaves room for clothes underneath. Kids grow fast, so check the size chart even if you bought the same size last year.

Shop by age

For the youngest, baby Halloween costumes include buntings in infant sizes such as 6 to 12 months, and toddler Halloween costumes cover 2T and 3T to 4T. School-age kids usually wear Child Small (4 to 6), Medium (7 to 8) or Large (10 to 12). Older kids who have outgrown child sizes can try teen Halloween costumes. Disguise lists many styles in both toddler and child sizes, so siblings can match.

Shop for girls or boys

Girls Halloween costumes include Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella, Alice and Mulan, along with witches and cheerful animal styles. Boys Halloween costumes include astronauts, army and pilot costumes, Jango Fett and Anakin Skywalker. Many costumes work for any child, and the title usually says when a style is cut for girls or boys. Classic picks include an Air Force pilot, an army soldier, an astronaut, a Dalmatian and an 80s valley girl, and the full Disney princess range is in princess costumes.

Heroes, characters and funny picks

Superhero fans can choose Batman, Superman, the Flash and Captain America, with more in superhero costumes. Other characters include Bluey and Bingo, Toy Story's Rex, Monsters University's Mike, Abby Cadabby and Slimer from Ghostbusters. Rasta Imposta adds funny baby styles like bacon, hot dog and ketchup buntings and a Mr. Peanut costume. Adaptive styles, such as a Nightmare Before Christmas wheelchair cover, are part of the range too.

Masks and props

Some costumes need a mask, wand or shield to finish the look. Kid-size masks are in kids masks, and props like a Captain America shield and a Luna Lovegood wand are in this collection. Trick-or-treat bags, such as a Spider-Man treat bag, are in the costume accessories collection.
