Outdoor Halloween Decorations

How to choose outdoor Halloween decorations

Plan your yard from the street, and walk past it after dark to see what stands out. Pick one or two large pieces people can see from the road, then fill in with smaller props near the walkway and porch. Check each product page for size, power needs and what is included. You can mix a few big statement pieces with smaller props that fill gaps.

Build a graveyard

Start with tombstones such as the Rest In Peace Cross Tombstone, the Celtic Cross Tombstone or the 18th Century Gravestone Set. Add grave breakers that look like they are climbing out of the ground, like the Ghost Face Grave Breaker, Witch Leg Grave Breakers and Zombie Groundbreaker. A Gothic Skull Light-up Fence or graveyard fence frames the scene. Group tombstones at different heights and angles so the scene looks real from the sidewalk. For more, see tombstones and fences.

Spiders, webs and skeletons

Spider webs come in stretchy, cloth and light-up versions up to 24 feet. Pair them with a giant spider like the 104 inch Giant Hairy Spider or a posable tarantula. Skeleton animals, including dog skeletons, a skeleton flamingo and a small dragon skeleton, add something unexpected. Stake large spiders and webs down so wind does not move them. Browse skeletons and skulls for more.

Yard inflatables

Gemmy makes a large share of this collection, including many Airblown inflatables. Halloween options include Jack Skellington, a Ghost Face pumpkin, black cats and witches with a cauldron. Many inflatables need an outdoor power outlet, so check the product page for power details and follow the setup instructions. See outdoor yard inflatables for the full range.

Decorations for other holidays

This collection also holds outdoor decorations for the rest of the year: Santa, snowmen, nutcrackers and the Grinch for Christmas, turkeys for Thanksgiving, bunnies for Easter and Uncle Sam for the Fourth of July. There are also inflatable party coolers in coffin, skeleton and pirate shapes, handy for keeping drinks cold at a yard party. Need help planning a display? Call us at 800-618-6053.
